Boguslawa Badon, RPT

Boguslawa (Bogusia) Badon was born in Wroclaw, Poland where she initially studied to become a physical education instructor. However, she then decided that she wanted to combine her interest in human physiology with her love of fitness and extended directed her training in the direction of rehabilitation. After moving to the United States, she received her certification in physical therapy in Connecticut and Massachusetts and founded Farmington Valley Physical Therapy. Bogusia's vision patient care is heavily influenced by the European sanatorium, an establishment that provides therapy combined with a regimen (as of rest, diet, and exercise) for treatment or rehabilitation.

In late 2005, FVPT underwent a transformation; the Unionville office moved to a 4000 sq ft facility with two gyms, private treatment rooms, and direct access to the Farmington River Valley Running/Bike Path. The FVPT Wellness Program was launched in 2006 and now hosts seminars, workshops, a Running Injury Prevention & Recovery program, as well as group rehabilitation and fitness classes.

Boguslawa currently has over 20 years of experience treating patients both in Europe and the United States in the nursing home setting, schools, and in her clinics. She is skilled in many modalities of rehabilitation including Hanna Somatic Neuroeducation and is a USA Track & Field Certified Running Coach. Farmington Valley Physical Therapy is the only Somatics Institute in Connecticut.
