The term Meditation describes a variety of practices; it usually involves turning our attention inward to the mind itself. Many practice meditation in order to achieve eternal peace, while others do it in order to become healthier and friendlier. Meditation may serve simply as a means of relaxation from a busy daily routine; as a technique for cultivating mental discipline; or as a means of gaining insight into the nature of reality, or of communing with one's God.

Mindfulness meditation and related techniques are intended to train attention for the sake of provoking insight. A wider, more flexible attention span makes it easier to be aware of a situation, easier to be objective in emotionally or morally difficult situations, and easier to achieve a state of responsive, creative awareness or "flow."

Farmington Valley Physical Therapy and Gene Ang of The Center for Pranic Healing have organized Meditation and Healing evenings held at our Unionville Office.

More about our program:
MEDITATION ON TWIN HEARTS is an advanced meditation technique designed by GrandMaster Choa Kok Sui, modern founder of Pranic Healing and Arhatic Yoga, aimed at achieving illumination or universal consciousness.  It is also an instrument of world and community service that eventually harmonizes the earth by blessing it with loving-kindness, peace, joy and goodwill. Presently being practiced globally by tens of thousands of people of different religions and backgrounds, the Meditation on Twin Hearts is extraordinary in its simplicity with amazing and dramatic results. Please join us at Farmington Valley Physical Therapy for an evening of relaxing meditation select Wednesday evenings. Gene Ang will be leading these session. Gene has his PhD in neurobiology from Yale School of Medicine and is an skilled leader and practitioner in meditation. These sessions are held select evenings from 7:00-9:30 pm. The meditation session will be followed by a short Pranic Healing for those that wish to participate. Please check our Group Class Calendar for exact dates.

"So, to meditate is to purge the mind of its self-centered activity. And if you have come this far in meditation, you will find there is silence, a total emptiness. The mind is uncontaminated by society; it is no longer subject to any influence, to the pressure of any desire. It is completely alone, and being alone, untouched it is innocent. Therefore there is a possibility for that which is timeless, eternal, to come into being. This whole process is meditation." -- Jiddu Krishnamurti
