Resonance and
Vibration: Altering Your Reality, Tuesday, Nov. 13 from 7:30-9:30
pm at Farmington Valley Physical Therapy, 112 South Main Street,
Unionville, CT 06085
In this workshop, participants will learn how to alter their
reality in ways that seem remarkable. They will learn how to bend
forks and spoons with energy, intent, and minimal effort as a
direct experience of how physical reality is not as solid as it
appears. Two different types or frequencies of energy will be
activated and taught to participants to use during the workshop:
a high frequency divine energy and a more earth-based grounded
energy. Experienced energy workers and healers will come away
with valuable hints that they can use in their practice. People
new to energy will experience in a concrete way the use of energy
to change the physical world.
The main goal of the evening is to experience realities beyond
the 3-dimensional one. Utensils will be provided. Gene Ang, Ph.D.
will lead the workshop. He is an energy healer in private practice
in the New England area and earned his Ph.D. in Neurobiology from
Yale University.
The cost is $55. Early registration is suggested in order to
provide adequate amount of materials. Please contact Gene Ang

WORKSHOP: Five Ancient Tibetan Rites for Health and Longevity,
December 13, 2007 from 7:00 - 9:30 pm with Gene Ang, PhD, Fee
- $35
Come learn the popular 5 Tibetan Rites for health and longevity
as seen in the best-selling books "Ancient Secret of the Fountain
of Youth" by Peter Kelder and "Your Hands Can Heal You" by Stephen
Co and Eric B. Robbins, M.D. In this seminar, participants
will learn these 5 simple yet powerful exercises that can be
done everyday in just 10 minutes. The daily practice of
these exercises leads to youthfulness, vigor, and longevity.
They are so easy that anyone at any age can learn them.
In addition, the sixth and seventh rite will be taught. The
sixth rite, a closely guarded secret in most yogic traditions,
supercharges the first 5 rites and the seventh rite teaches
people the power of mantrams to manifest their goals and aspirations.
Also included will be the energetic reasons why these exercises
are so effective. Participants will come away with both
practical as well as theoretical knowledge leading to lasting
health and longevity. Facilitated by Gene Ang, Ph.D. Cost
$35.

WORKSHOP: Yoga Body Alignment with Elizabeth Gait,
February 23, 2008, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
Symmetry is considered beautiful, however, for those
who practice yoga, symmetry in postures is often difficult
to achieve. Western style yoga classes can rush from one
posture to next without an in depth discussion of the feelings
and sensations that each movement creates. Each posture
is described in exquisite detail. This workshop is geared
toward yogis and yoginis of all levels who wish to understand
and explore postures and breathing technique at a more comprehensive
level.
Registration in person at our Unionville clinic or over
the phone at (860) 673-0223. Registration fee is $35 per
person, $50 per two people registering together.

RUNNING CLINIC: Perfect Form Running Clinic with
Aaron Groen, PhD, USATF Certified Running Coach, April
19, 2008 (rain date April 26) from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
Training errors and bad running form both contribute
to the high rate of injuries among recreational runners.
Reports indicate that approximately 65% of runners develop
an injury each year, many of which could be avoided.
The goal of this workshop is to teach runners to increase
performance and decrease chances of injury by minimizing
effort and stress on their body while running.
The course will have two parts: 1) Training theory:
How to design an efficient plan to improve over-all
fitness and speed. 2) Running form: How to prevent injury
when running with a significant emphasis on proper running
technique and footwear. Included in the workshop will
be video running form analysis, running drills, introduction
to dynamic stretching, and more. The course is open
to runners of all levels.
Register in person at the Unionville clinic or over
the phone by calling (860) 673-0223. Registration fee
$35 per person, $50 per pair of people registering together.

RUNNING CLINIC: Perception
in Running with Aaron Groen, PhD, USATF Certified
Running Coach on May 3, 2008 (rain date May 10) from
10:00 am - 1:00 pm
This course builds on the theory and biomechanics
presented in the Perfect Form Running Clinic. Drills
should be an integral part of every distance runners
training regime. These rapid, focused exercises loosen
muscles, increase blood flow, but most importantly,
reinforce the neuromuscular connections needed to
increase elasticity and coordinate movement. This
results in a smoother, more efficient running style.
Video analysis of both drills and running form will
be heavily emphasized in this clinic. Optional digital
balance and bodyweight perception testing will be
conducted during this workshop.

Pose Tech Weekend Running
Clinic with Dr. Nicolas
Romanov
RUNNING CLINIC with Dr. Romanov (formerly "Standard
POSE Clinic") is a "MUST DO" for everyone who wants
to run (or jog) without pain and injuries that are
commonly associated with running. This Running Clinic
goes on for 2 days and a weekend at the Farmington
Valley Physical Therapy
Unionville Office.
The clinics are typically 30% theory and 70% practice,
and 100% fun! The objective is to teach the participants
the proper running technique based on the most efficient
method for energy transfer and forward movement.
We limit the number of people attending each clinic,
since we like to give as much personal attention
as possible.

SEMINAR: Detoxification
with Dr. Tamara Sachs of Functional Medicine
& Integrative Care - TBD, 7:00-8:30 pm
For some, medicine has been a mechanical process:
find a problem, prescribe a cure. But common sense
and research tell us that the various systems of
the body do not work in isolation. Our genes, what
we eat, how we exercise and react to stress all
affect our health. This would suggest a more integrative
approach to medicine: where it is more important
to assess the entire person rather than focus on
the symptoms or the diagnosis. Come learn about
body function, toxins, and how to make your body
well.ABOUT THE DOCTOR
Doctor Tamara Sachs graduated with honors from the
Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City
and completed a Residency in Internal Medicine at
Saint Raphael Hospital and Yale University in New
Haven, CT. Prior to obtaining her Bachelors Degree
in Molecular Biology and Philosophy at Hunter College,
Doctor Sachs studied Naturopathy in France for three
years. Doctor Sachs has studied Nutrition and Integrative
Medicine, including several hundred hours of accredited
advanced medical education. She is a graduate and
member of the Institute of Functional Medicine Doctor
Sachs lectures frequently in the United States and
Canada. She is the author of a chapter on Osteoporosis
in a Textbook of Complementary and Alternative Medicine
and has served on various Medical Advisory Boards,
including the Scientific Advisory Board of Womenheart,
the National Coalition for Women with Heart Disease.
